Penguins & Canadiens Liveblog Tonight

The invitations to the dance have all been sent out and if you haven't already gotten yours in the mail, than it means you're not going. We are down to the final two days of the season and all that is left to figure out is who is hooking up with who in the first round.

Tonight the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Montreal Canadiens are going head to head in their final game of the season.

Pittsburgh
Three teams were tied at 97 points when the day started. Carolina lost their game and Philly won theirs, so now it's up to Pittsburgh to see if they can match Philly. If they win, they will move into that crucial fourth spot. Note that Philly still have one game left tomorrow.

Montreal
Montreal is currently tied with the New York Rangers at 93 points. The winner of these two teams takes the 7 spot and gets the Capitals. The loser gets stuck with the top seeded Bruins. Montreal's game versus Boston on Thursday was a barn burner and a first round match up almost seems destined to happen.

Side Stories
Miro Satan, who was sent down earlier this year by Pittsburgh due to cap reasons, will be dressed tonight.
Malkin has a four point lead on Ovechkin in the scoring race and he'll be looking to lock that up.
Injured defenseman Matt Schneider decided to postpone his surgery and scored a big goal in the game vs. Boston.

I will be liveblogging the game tonight on theScore. CLICK HERE to join me for coverage and for some playoff analysis.

Toodles.
